Jonn scored the IMAX Corporation and Space Telescope Science Institute film, "Galaxies Across Space And Time" about the Deep Field survey of galaxies researched at the edge of the known universe. The film won major award categories at the Large Format Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
![]() Jonn is a well known recording and touring artist, but many may not know that Jonn is also an FAA licensed pilot with advanced instrument and commercial ratings. Jonn is a former USAF search and rescue pilot and holds the coveted Disaster Relief Presidential Award with Valor for his flying in the Deep Water Horizon BP oil spill. Jonn composed music for the hit Hollywood film What The Bleep Do We Know? starring Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin and a cast of renown scientists, physicists and thinkers from around the world.
Jonn's album "And The Stars Go With You" was used in the opening show production of the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium in New Hampshire in 1988. The album had just been released a few months earlier.

His music has been heard in planetariums worldwide including London, Munich, Sweden, Japan, China, Canada, South America, Australia, France, Spain, Norway, Singapore, Russia and others. ![]() In 1999, Jonn performed at the 30th anniversary celebration of Apollo 11 with Neil Armstrong in attendance televised worldwide from Cape Canaveral. He has given premier performances at the 1996 founding of the Ansari X-Prize in St. Louis, the National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, and the annual International Space Development Consortium held in Washington, DC. |
